Seeing the burned Claire reconstruct totally creeped me out. He's a distinctive and somewhat creepy actor, and that works. Eric Roberts as one of the higher ups was fine. Seven years ago, Claude was hiding one of the Gifted ones from Bennet. It should have taken place at Lenscrafters. The "grandpa glasses" scene was touching and sweet, but made no sense. We only got a brief glimpse of a new female character, who works at Primatech. The flashback where Nakamura gave Bennet the baby Claire was on the roof of the Deveaux building. Was he adopted by a Company Man just like Claire was? What about Hiro's sister? And Claire's brother Lyle? They've never explained Lyle. Nakamura as the big boss brings up questions about Hiro. I want Matt to find out what the hell is going on with the Company. Now that the Haitian has taken off with Claire, it looks like Matt will become Bennet's next partner. We still don't know what the Company is doing. But the world is safe, because they're keeping him sedated at the paper company now. Nuclear Ted is literally a loose cannon, completely unstable physically and emotionally, too outright dangerous to live. I think it was Bennet's way of repenting. He faded out before he went completely over the side.) It was fitting somehow that Bennet let Claire go free in exactly the same place, and had the Haitian shoot him, as he shot Claude. (How did Claude survive that fall with all those bullets in him? He's a crafty guy maybe he didn't fall. But I was surprised that Claude was Bennet's partner, and that they were together for seven years. I wasn't surprised that Nakamura was Bennet's boss I could feel it coming. I particularly liked the way Bennet and Claire sent their thoughts to Matt, and how the three of them worked together so effectively to defuse Nuclear Ted. The strange siege at the Bennet house was just terrific, beginning to end. We're finally getting past introduction and origin, and delving into dueling powers, ambiguous motivations, and major advances in the story. In fact, this is the kind of episode I've been waiting for. Which just set him back up as a bad guy again, but one we can't help liking. Best episode so far, in my opinion.īennet just sacrificed virtually everything for his beloved Claire Bear.
