In lecture 3, we will establish a foundation for disability inclusion by discussing language, key terms used throughout the course, and technology used in the disability community. The next lecture will introduce you to the format, intentions, and outcomes of this course. In the first lecture of this course, you will be introduced to your instructor, Tracy Vollbrecht, and learn what makes her uniquely qualified to teach this course. No prerequisites are needed for this course. This course will benefit designers, production managers, merchandisers, buyers, e-commerce specialists, marketing teams, company executives, and more. This course is intended for individuals in the fashion industry interested in learning more about adaptive fashion. By providing an education on language around disability, terms and definitions, and clothing challenges faced by various disability groups, students will gain a baseline understanding upon which to build their adaptive fashion knowledge.
